BBC1 (East/London) INSIDE OUT

Inside Out investigates the real life story of chicken escape and features Free At Last. BBC Three Counties Radio Breakfast presenter Stephen Rhodes has given a home to three of them – Ethel, Babs and Ginger. He meets others from across the East who have joined in the great Chicken Run.

Recently we have also been offered other "commercially spent hens" These may therefore also be available occassionly as they are part of a very small flock. Our ultimate aim is to save lives, they go to the processors at 72 weeks old the same as battery hens.We have therefore agreed to take them on the same basis as we do the ex batts. If we have interest we will also save them from a horrific death.
