Free at Last is a non-profit organisation based in Bedfordshire. We rescue ex- battery hens and give them the opportunity to live the rest of their lives with love and comfort.
If you are thinking of keeping hens then these girls make rewarding pets. One of the greatest joys is to see them scratching and pecking around in the sunshine.
When they arrive from the battery farms they are often pale, thin and sparsely feathered. They do not know how to peck at the ground and have never been outside. Over the weeks they grow and get more colour and once settled may lay lovely eggs! A bonus to giving them a future.
Rescue some hens from certain death and add a little sunshine to their lives and yours!
